December 7th for Mitt


Today we remember with Mitt Romney the horror of Pearl Harbor, and the events that drew the USA into WWII. We also remember that vigilance is the price that must be paid to avoid such dissasters.

As of 12-6-07, we have had over 3,350 people commit through E-Mails, Facebook, a Pledge site, Myspace, ShoutLife, and by phone to donating and telling their friends about this event.If 3,350 people donated $30, we'd raise $100,500.00If 3,350 people donated $90, we'd raise $301,500.00If 3,350 people donated $300, we'd raise $1,005,000.00If Ron Paul's or Mike Huckabee's online fundraisers are any indication, we can expect 2 to 3 times this many donations + all the donations collected from Mitt and Ann's 4 fundraisers in person today. This is a huge boost for Mitt's campaign! The sky's the limit my friends! Today commemorates Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation, so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

We now face a similar situation to Abraham Lincoln. We can decide if we want to keep a large part of our economy tied to a group of laborers that aren't treated as full citizens,or we can decide that all those who come into our country must and will be treated equally under the law. Mitt Romney wants to go the way of Lincoln and as Lincoln abolished the practice of slave labor, Mitt Romney would abolish the practice of illegal imigrant labor. Our economy may have struggled at times, but it has gone on to thrive and flourish without slave labor, far more than we would have if we continued that dehumanizing practice. The way illegal aliens are used for labor is dehumanizing in its own right, and we can do the same when it comes to ending illegal migrant labor. America can go on without a permanant labor class and it will ultimatly do better and be more inovative without it.

November 14 1969, Apollo 12 was launched as the second lunar shuttle. Mitt Romney has reconized on many occasions that this country needs another Apollo like project to solve our energy crisis. America can work together to do things that seem impossible, but it will take the right leadership, and that is something Mitt Romney can provide.

November 10 - 12

This weekend, from Saturday to Monday forms a series of Mitt Romney's Days that center largely on the National Defence leg of Mitt Romney's platform. It began with the Marine Corps Birthday on the 10th, continued to Sunday for Veterans Day, and culminates today with the observance of Veterans Day.

Today I read George Washington's letter to the Continenal Congress from Valey Forge PA. It decried the pitiful way in which the government supported, or rather failed to support the troops, who became our first veterans. I find it sad, and even angering that our government is still failing in its duty to support the troops and provide for their welfare. Mitt Romney, though not in government at this time, supports the troops, and is calling for us to do the same. He will continue to support the troops, and ensure that they have what they need to accomplish the mission. He also knows that supporting the troops doesn't stop when they come home. It means making sure their familys are okay, and it means continuing to see that they are cared for both here and abroad.

Support our troops this Veterans Day, and everyday. They are the Veterans of tomorrow. And don't forget to thank the Veterans you know for their service.

Mitt Romney's Day this Friday marks the first celebration of World Community Day, back in 1945. The theme is One World Many Nations. It is an important day for Mitt because of how well he understands how America fits into the world community. He celebrates our part of the world community, and he knows that it is a world community, not a world government that is great for America.

Mitt Romney has been an active part of the world community for a long time. His days in business brought him into the community. Then his time running the 2000 Olympics drew the nations of the world even closer to him. He knows how to work in a global environment without loosing who he is. He also knows what it takes for our nation to be a vital part of this world community. He knows that we need to be able to provide out children with top notch educations so that we can thrive as part of the world. He knows that we need to have a strong and stable economy so that other nations will be willing to engage us in trade on equal footing. He knows that we need to support families because they are what a strong nation is made of. He knows that we need a strong national defence so that our citizens will feel safe enough to engage in business and other nations will feel secure conducting trade here. He knows that our nation can't be a part of the world community if it no longer exists. That is why border security is so important to him.

This World Community day will be a great Mitt Romney's day because he knows what the world commnity is, even if the UN doesn't.
